Gov. Deal unveils 755-acre deepwater industrial site in Savannah

Gov. Deal, alongside Dulany Industries Inc., and Greenfield Environmental Trust, unveiled Thursday the SeaPoint Industrial Terminal Complex, a mile-long private deepwater frontage along the main Savannah River shipping channel as well as class I rail service on-site and easy access to the Georgia Ports Authority and major interstates like I-95 and I-16.

Cleanup at ASARCO smelter site continues

Four years ago, the site of the former ASARCO smelter in East Helena was crowded with buildings. Today, almost all of them are gone.

Seventh Ave. ditch project completed

In three months, the Seventh Avenue ditch has transformed from an open, jagged trench filled with snakes, exposed pipes and other dangers to an unassuming grassy space.

EPA finishes cleanup plan for Eastside site; real cleaning still in future
